DIY Organization Projects to Tackle in 2013
By Creatively Living on Jan 04, 2013
It’s a New Year!
Time to start clean!
When we lived in Hawaii, we learned the Japanese culture aims to have their houses and yards cleaned by the New Year.
I think it sounds like a more appropriate time than "Spring Cleaning". Don’t we all feel bombarded and weighed down after the holidays?
Are your toy boxes overflowing like mine?
With well-intended gifts-a-plenty?
January is a great month to SIMPLIFY!
Here are some smart and inexpensive ideas!
Make an ironing board pad, so you don’t have to haul out the other big ironing board by Crafty Fose
Add some little and inexpensive shelves for a easy solution to avoiding digging in the back of your cupboards by A Bowl Full of Lemons
Make a jewelry holder to organize your jewelry.
This one I made for my Master Bedroom and I LOVE IT! It really does keep all my jewelry organized, and I’ve been using it for over a year.
There are a million different ways to make them on Pinterest and Google.
I love this organizational door by Jamie at CRAFT
She also organized it as a Back to School Organizational Door.
Check out this garage organization for a family of 10 by Garage Designs of St. Louis on Hometalk!
(I have no excuse now.)
Need an office space?
Transform your closet like this incredible office-closet from Simplicity in the South.
I did the same thing in my downstairs closet. It’s a little cramped, but at least everything has a place!
You can check out my sewing nook here.
Get creative with a Goodwill find. Mad in Crafts turned the side or a shoe organized into a paint holder.
Classy Clutter used the extra space by their fridge to store their canned food…..brilliant!
This is a Lazy Susan I made for back to school, but it could be used for kid’s activities everyday.
Hope these ideas and spaces give you a little inspiration!
I’m ready to start cleaning things out….now to just find a little time.
