Easy DIY: Acorn Mason Jar Votives
By it all started with paint on Sep 30, 2013
Have you heard of Pinterest? Wait. Stop. I take that question back. To amend it …
to ask if you’ve ever been on Pinterest?
If you have, you know that it can suck you in …
with beautiful pictures …
and amazing project ideas …
inspiration in spades …
oh, and let’s not forget about some of the weird stuff … lots of tattoos and piercings … and people who have boards labeled “Men” where they pin pictures of handsome men … hmmmm ….
But for the home décor enthusiast, Pinterest is like every single fabulous glossy magazine and catalogue rolled up into one spectacular place.
And while Pinterest is chock full of inspiration, I also find it intimidating at times. Overwhelming. So many things I want to do and create and recreate. So little time.
Which is why I chose this project …
for it’s ease.
To be honest, this project has been on my greatest hits list for quite some time now …
How to Make a Pottery Barn-Inspired Acorn Mason Jar Votive
1. Gather your materials.
Mason Jar {found mine at the dollar store}
Faux Acorns {found mine on Amazon.com}
Tea Lights {found mine in a drawer in the kitchen}
Tea Light Votive {found mine stored away in the basement after I first found them at Pier One}
2. Put Tea Light Votive in Center of Mason Jar.
3. Put Tea Light in Tea Light Votive.
Aren’t you glad I showed you this very complicated step!
4. Place Faux Acorns Around Tea Light.
5. Continue to Stack Faux Acorns Around Tea Light …
6. And You’re Done.
One project down …
only three-thousand-and-growing-daily left to go.
