Leaf House by Laird Herbert
By Inthralld on Aug 28, 2012
While minimalists everywhere rejoice at the thought of being able to pick up and go without the attachment to “things”– there is a very real opportunity to have a home that’s both green and on the go. Leaf House by Laird Herbert is for sale for the price of a car at $44,500 and with 215 square feet of fully functional living space, we’d say that this is a better buy.
The Leaf House is constructed with cedar siding, tongue and groove joinery, steel studs and triple pane windows. Even within the miniature trailer, there is a loft space for sleeping. There’s also a spot for overnight guests in the living area with sofa bed (who would’ve thought!?). The compact dwelling also features a dining area, full size kitchen, full bathroom with a compact bathtub and composting toilet.
While very minimal in square footage, it is a great little place to call home for the minimalist nomads out there.
