Art Barn by Robert Young
By Inthralld on Feb 15, 2013
Art gallery-style homes are far and few between, but this Connecticut home Robert Young is a great example of art installations in a home being done right. Complete with 10,000 square feet of display and living space, the “Art Barn” house is a wonderful place to kick your feet up and call home.
The exterior facade of this home is complete with a lush living “skin” of greenery that grows all over, and the interior is quite different than what shows on the surface. The inside of this space is truly an experience in itself. The built-in storage of the kitchen is chock full of collectible and vintage wines, plus books galore. The rest of the enormous home boasts green screens, full-size galleries, and so much more. The design aesthetic of the home is a comfortable, contemporary eclectic, without being overly stuffy or sleek.
