Boat’s House by MHM Architects

By Inthralld on Dec 14, 2012

Some might argue that it’s to the point of obsession when your boats have their own home. But when you’ve got an investment to protect from the harsh weather and other conditions, it seems completely sensible. The Boat’s House by MHM Architects is the perfect spot built with plenty of boat space and a home for people attached as well.

Usually the actual home is a boat, but this particular home explores the spatial relationships of the dock and boat’s quarters with the land occupying areas butting right up to the water’s edge.

Copper, larch, and various other materials were used on the exterior, all of which have weathered well and have given an additional character to the home.
