The Nobis House by Susanne Nobis
By Inthralld on Aug 22, 2012
Germany is home to plenty of architectural greats, but there are few homes where the architect by trade owns and designed their own home. Susanne Nobis was the mastermind behind the creation of her “Nobis” home, and the end result is a beautiful contemporary space that pays homage to Germany’s popular twin style homes.
Situated near Lake Starnberg in the Berg state of Germany, Nobis has both a living and work space planned out within the two boat house styled structures. There’s an adjoining bridge-slash-entry that connects the two, yet maintains a sense of separation between work and play. The vast majority of this home is constructed of wood, both inside and out– and the end result couldn’t be more stunning. Via: Enpundit
